Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury are holding a final nationwide seasonal hiring day at all stores, including Macy's at the Tampa and Sarasota-area malls. Times vary by store, so call ahead. You can walk in or apply first online. Some locations interview and make offers on the spot.
Part-time seasonal Team Member and Replenishment roles (guest service, gift baskets, stocking) run from October through January 7, 2027. You must be 21 or older and available on weekends and holidays. The posting lists a $300 bonus for completing assigned Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve shifts. Check the posting for your nearest store.
Crate & Barrel held hiring events at its Sarasota (140 University Town Center Dr.) and Tampa International Plaza (2201 W. Westshore Blvd.) stores on Oct 8 and 9. Those dates have passed, but seasonal sales, cashier and operations roles are posted online. You'll need availability after Thanksgiving and around Christmas.
Amazon announced more than 2,000 seasonal hires across Tampa Bay facilities. Local reporting says pay starts at $20 an hour, with new openings posted weekly through December.
Target is posting seasonal cashier, fulfillment, stocking, food and beverage and overnight roles at Tampa Bay and Sarasota stores. Search by your ZIP code.
UPS hires seasonal warehouse and driver-helper roles every peak season. Search Sarasota or Tampa on the official UPS jobs site, and only apply there.
Holiday demand also lifts flexible gigs: delivery apps, pet sitting while families travel, gift wrapping, holiday light installs, and cleaning before and after guests. If you'd rather build something that lasts past January, the Side Hustle Starter Kit ($49) walks you through picking, pricing and launching one in 30 days, with a tracker that keeps your tax records straight.
Tax tip: Seasonal W-2 jobs withhold tax for you. Gig and self-employed income doesn't, so set some aside.
